World Wide Whisper
This exciting programme challenges five countries to each create 12 quilts. Much like Chinese Whispers, one person starts the programme, and creates a quilt based on a landscape picture of their country. They then take a picture of their quilt and send this on to the next person who produces a second quilt based on the picture they receive, and so on. Resulting in some very interesting pieces of work. Countries taking part are Scotland, the Netherlands, USA, Ireland and Canada.
TILKKUYHDISTYS FINN QUILTRY
The Finnish Guild will be crossing the water to bring an exciting collection of work by its members, giving visitors to The Scottish Quilting Show a chance to see what our Scandinavian neighbours are working on at present. Established in 1990 the guild now has over 1500 members and its aim is to promote quilt making and knowledge across Finland.
Traditional Quilt Group of the British Isles
The Traditional Quilt Group are a very inclusive band of patchworkers and quilters who have a wide variety of skills and techniques. They use modern tools to make modern quilts using traditional blocks, techniques and ideas whilst embracing the modern world enabling them to make more and more quilts.
